What is SELPA?
SELPA stands for “Special Education Local Plan Area”. The SELPA is responsible for supporting member districts in the implementation of the legal requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA), the federal law for Special Education.
The Los Angeles County Charter SELPA partners with established and new charter schools to provide exemplary special education support and services.
